Hyundai Motor Company had HKS USA Inc. create a high performance Genesis Coupe 2.0T for the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show. HKS is the leading manufacturer of premium performance parts and they recently paired with Kenstyle USA to rock a Hyundai Genesis for the SEMA show. Nismo has been a long time tuner of many JDM Nissan Vehicles.  Lessons learned from such heavy hitters as the Skyline have trickled down to the latest creation: the 2010 Nismo 370Z.  At just under $40k you can purchase a car that has been tuned inside and out!

Synchro Rev Technology – Some New Nissan Technology that is super cool is something called synchro-rev.  The computer will automatically blip the throttle during shifts.  This blip will raise the revs so that when shifting none are lost.  And this in turn helps acceleration.

Nismo has done a thorough job of stiffening the 370Z chassis to make this a great all around tack package.  Spring and dapening rates are increased.  The strut bars have also been upgraded to improve stiffness in the Nismo 370z. The result is a very track capable car.

No tuned car can run on stock rims and tires.  So the 2010 Nissan Nismo 370Z benefits some specially desined RAYS 19-inch forged rims.   RAYS is the parent compant of Volk who has made rims for racing and street applications for years. These rims are considered the best on the market today!  Tires come in the form of sticky Yokohama ADVAN high performance tires.

Mazda has long been known for their innovative and fun-to-drive cars. The fresh new design of the popular MAZDA3, now known as the MAZDASPEED3 has perpetuated this notion.

Specialty Mazdaspeed stabilizer bars keep the vehicle level when navigating through tight curves and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) works with the throttle and  anti-lock brake system to correct when under-steering or over-steering is detected.  MacPherson front struts and E-type multilink rear suspension provide great handling while the traction control system adjusts the throttle when loss of traction is detected while driving in slick or slippery road conditions.

Drivers and passengers alike will be comfortable in the cockpit of the 2010 MAZDASPEED3 with plenty of front seat room for both.  Despite its’ compact size the hatchback has surprising cargo room, especially when the rear seats are folded down. The tilt and telescoping steering wheel can be set to the perfect angle and distance for the driver’s comfort. Nifty technology such as the remote keyless entry system and optional push-button start add to the Mazda fun factor.  Creature comforts such as a dual zone climate control system with pollen filter promises a comfortable and clean atmosphere in all seasons.

Overall, the sophisticated suspension, exceptional steering, maneuverability and handling combined with a peppy engine and playful appearance makes the 2010 MAZDASPEED3 one attractive little package. Oh and did I mention the happy little price of under $25,000? Now that’s something worth smiling about.

Replacing the FX45, the new FX50 is Infiniti’s top of the line crossover SUV.  Along with the FX35, the FX50 debuted as one of the first crossovers to include high performance and a luxurious car style in its portfolio.  Infiniti improved many qualities from the FX50’s predecessor, the engine being the greatest advancement.

The FX50 replaces the previous 320hp 4.5L V8 with a seven speed, 390hp 5.0L V8, which means the FX50 has extreme straight-line acceleration and reportedly goes from 0 to 60 in 5.6 seconds. The Toyota Matrix is a cool little car. It is actually the true definition of a cross over vehicle: drives like a car but has the features from a van or wagon. But the Rally Sport Matrix is another kind of animal. This little grocery hauler has been transformed into a compact car superstar. Just its visual appearance is enough to get teenagers all wound up. That sweet body kit, those huge rims, all those scoops, and of course the intercooler is more than eye candy. This looks to be a purpose built rally car. But I doubt this car will ever see one speck of dust, not with that cherry candy paint.

If Toyota was smart they would totally cash in on the Fast and furious craze….especially with another movie coming out. I would buy this Rally Sport Matrix in a minute. But what other items make this car a lean mean driving machine. First the engine received a nice bump in horsepower via a TRD Supercharger and Intercooler. Next, there is a TRD coil over suspension kit. The stopping power has been upgraded with a TRD brake package. The exterior received cool body kit with tons of scoops before being sprayed with a nice coat of paint. The interior got a roll cage and many Sparco safety goodies. Finally the Rally Sport Matrix is finished off with some 19 inch OZ rims and BFG tires. This is serious hardware!

Cadillac has come up with a recipe for success with the new 2009 CTS-V.  Take Grandpa’s nice Luxury Sedan, mix in some bling bling rims, and add Corvette Firepower!  What do you get?  The fastest factory sedan in history.  Oh yes! Chew on that Mercedes and BMW.  The head hanchos over at Cadillac decided that while their stocks may be falling; their cool factor could use a boost.  Enter the new CTS-V.

With over 550 horsepower hitting the ground through Corvettes’ Tremec Six-Speed short shifting transmission, this monster can rocket to 60 mph in 4 seconds.  Also borrowed from the Corvette is the same LSA V-8 engine, crazy magnetic shocks, and huge Brembo brakes.  This Cadillac also come with some sticky Michelin tires and sweet recaro seats to hold the driver in place.   The CTS-V is the fastest car Cadillac has ever produced and the fastest sedan in the world; beating out the BMW M5 and Mercedes E63 AMG.  Both of these cars cost over $20k more!  Priced at $60k, the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V offers Ferrari speed and Bentley luxury at half the price.

On the heels of the newly announced Fusion and Taurus; Ford has given us another version of the Mustang Muscle car. The 2008 GT500KR was a special edition car that had a limited run. Well these cars were such a hot commodity that Ford will release a version of this car called the Mustang Shelby GT500 in 2010 built around this wicked ride.

With the new 2010 Chevy Camaro release coming soon which is surely going to set the world on fire; Ford is trying to grab their piece of the market share. This new Shelby will be built on the good points of the KR and will address the shortcomings that have appeared. The clutch will be more user friendly, and the gearing will be adjusted for better gas mileage and also quicker acceleration times.

Also new for 2010 are huge 19-inch forged rims and Goodyear F1 tires. The interior will also get a few need upgrades. There will be racing striped seats, suede wrapped steering wheel, and aluminum accents throughout the dash. The new Shelby will also handle better and provide a quieter ride.

The engine will produce 540 pavement pounding horsepower at a fraction of the GT500KR’s cost. Where the special edition 40^th anniversary KR cost upwards of $80k, this new 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 will be between $40k-$50k; which is right in the wheel house of many enthusiasts.
